Sasha Rionda first found a home in the spotlight as a child in Mexico City. In 1990, she learned a lot about the world of entertainment and about patience, sitting for hours in a makeup chair to be transformed into a “mutant child” for the Arnold Schwarzenegger film “Total Recall.” That opportunity set Sasha on a path that has now brought her to Atlanta, where she balances hosting duties on The Weather Channel’s Local Now, the weekly show “Coffee With America,” acting roles and salsa dancing any chance she gets!

Sasha Rionda’s dynamic career in media has spanned continents and genres, from her early days in Mexico City’s entertainment scene to becoming a trusted face on American television. Her journey began with a role in the sci-fi classic Total Recall, igniting a passion for storytelling that led her to host Cinecanal’s “Zoom,” where she interviewed Hollywood legends. Sasha’s fearless energy took her to Australia with “Wild on E!,” and soon after, she became the voice of global music culture on CNN International’s “The Music Room.” Fluent in multiple languages and cultures, Sasha brought a unique perspective to her roles, particularly as the host of “Nuestro Rincón” on WKRC and “Detalles con Sasha” on CNN en Español, where she celebrated Latin American heritage. Today, Sasha seamlessly navigates between her hosting duties on The Weather Channel’s Local Now, “Coffee With America,” and special projects like FLN’s “Stay, Eat, Play- Louisiana.” Her ability to connect with diverse audiences and adapt to various formats underscores her status as a versatile and influential media personality.
